How Sol Garden works

Start with your garden, then head out when you feel like a change. Grow plants across five plots, defend the Heart in Garden Siege, explore four worlds, and use what you find to craft gear and build your Golden Seed Mastery. Here's how it all works.

Free to play

You can start playing for free. Open Play now and enter your garden. You don't need a wallet, tokens or an account to get started. Every new player begins at Sprout tier with the full Home Garden plot and enough planting budget to fill it.

Play now, no wallet needed

Your first garden is saved in your browser. Plants grow in real time and earn Coins, and you can try Garden Siege and the open worlds for free.

Bring your garden to a wallet

Connect a Solana wallet when you're ready to keep your garden across devices. You'll be asked before anything moves. If that wallet already has a garden, the game keeps both gardens safe instead of overwriting one.

Garden Keeper, the garden farmhand

Garden Keeper is a soulbound companion that tends your plot while you are away: collecting ripe yield before it rots, watering, and clearing pests. Each run costs Diamonds, so it is a convenience you fund. The first 200 accounts claim Garden Keeper free; after that it is 0.5 SOL.

Sol Garden is live on the web and as a native app on the Solana dApp Store for Seeker phones.

The $SOLG token & tiers

$SOLG is the token the whole economy is tied to. The game is free to start: every player begins at Sprout with a full plot. Holding $SOLG unlocks everything above it. The more you hold, the higher your tier, and the bigger and cheaper your garden gets. $SOLG is also how you buy premium items (the mythic guard dog, unique towers, gold run tickets), trade on the marketplace, and stake to earn.

Holdings are read live from your wallet - no deposit, no lockup. Drop below a tier and your extra plots simply freeze until you top back up. Nothing is lost.

Grow your garden

Pick your flowers, shrubs, trees or rare plants and place them on your plot. They grow in real time and produce Coins, including while you're away, with up to 8 hours of yield stored. Keep an eye on the weather too. It changes growth speed and yield, and each plant gets a bonus in its preferred climate: sun, spring, winter or night.

Five garden plots

Higher tiers open more plots: Home Garden, Fae Glade, Crystal Grove, Arcane Sanctum and Necropolis. Drag the preview to take a look around.

Level up your plants

Use Coins to upgrade a plant, up to level 100. Higher levels produce more Coins. Every 25 levels, the plant evolves and gets another boost. Water your plants when they need it, and use instant-grow if you want to speed things up.

There are 30+ species across flowers, shrubs, trees and a glowing "rare" tier (unlocked by tier). A handful of Mythical plants are earned only through referrals.

Garden Siege

The goal is simple: keep the invaders away from your Heart. Garden Siege is endless tower defense, and your own plants become towers. Place them along the lanes, upgrade your defense and see how far you can get.

How a run works

  • • You get one free run per day, then play more with tickets.
  • • Earn Sap in-run from kills and cleared waves to build and upgrade towers.
  • • Between waves, draft a roguelite boon (more damage, range, fire rate, crit, splash, Sap or lives).
  • • Every 10th wave is a boss; every 100th is a Phoenix that rises from the ashes.
  • • Clear wave 100 on a realm to unlock the next, harder realm.

Towers

Your tower roster comes from plants you own and any unique towers you've collected. Check each tower's role and element before placing it. Strikers, guardians, sprinters and mystics all have a place in your setup.

Run tickets

Your first run each day is free. After that, use a Silver ticket bought with Coins or a Gold ticket bought with $SOLG. Gold tickets cost more with each purchase that day. Tickets can also drop during a run. Both kinds are renewable and soulbound, so you keep them on your own account.

The realms

There are twelve realms, each with its own landscape, board and lanes. Start in Meadow Maze. Clear wave 100 to unlock the next realm, then learn its routes before building your defense. Deeper realms open up better loot.

Pickaxes & Mine upgrades

You start with a Wooden Pickaxe. There are ten tools to work through, each with its own look. Buy upgrades one tier at a time. Mining earns XP, but it won't upgrade your pickaxe for you.

How to upgrade your pickaxe

  1. Open Mine → Upgrades → Pickaxe.
  2. Check the next tool’s character-level requirement and price. This uses your overall character level, not your Mining skill.
  3. Buy the next tier with Coins or Diamonds. It becomes your current pickaxe immediately; the card shows the next upgrade.

Deposit access. Your Mine can produce ore tiers 1–10. Upgrade the Mine to make higher tiers available, and use a pickaxe at least as high as the deposit's tier. Miner capacity decides how many jobs you can run at once. A better pickaxe still works on every lower tier.

Faster work. Each pickaxe tier above the deposit cuts the base work time by 10%, down to a 20-second minimum before Mastery bonuses. The faster time applies to new Miner jobs. Jobs already running keep their original timers.

Mining skill. Collect finished Mine jobs to earn Mining XP: ore tier × quantity. That raises your Mining skill, up to 150, and also adds character XP. To work a deposit, check your pickaxe tier. Your Mining skill level doesn't unlock deposits.

Foraging & cooking

Look for 50 ingredients across the worlds. Gathering is free, with daily limits and character-level requirements. Bring ingredients to the Kitchen and spend Coins to cook a dish. Some give you a timed Well Fed combat buff; others feed your guard dog.

Crafting

Bring ore and Coins to the Forge to make tradeable gear. Check the recipe's character-level requirement first. Rarer pieces also need higher-tier ore. You can trade crafted gear just like eligible Siege drops.

Elite encounters

Eight Elites guard landmarks in each world, including two beside the boss. Frenzied attacks faster, Brutal hits harder, and Swift moves faster. Fiery burns nearby players, Frozen slows them, and Venomous poisons them. Elites grant triple normal kill XP and higher drop chances. Their ground auras identify their affixes. Each Elite drops three times the normal Coin amount and 1–2 materials, with a 30% chance to drop 100–200 Diamonds.

Golden Invasion

Golden Invasion starts every day at 00:00 and 12:00 UTC. You have one hour to hunt two Goldens in each world. They're bigger and stronger than the world boss, so come prepared. Each gives more XP than an Elite, better fragment rarity odds and a guaranteed stack of 3 matching suit fragments. Once defeated, a Golden returns at the next invasion.

World bosses become Enraged at 30% health: their bodies turn red and their health bars show the status.

Farming, mining, fighting, crafting, cooking and gathering all help raise your character level, up to 200. Each level gives you stat points to spend on attack, health, crit, defense or energy.

The characters

Your suit is your character. There are 51 suits to collect, from everyday clothes to golden knights and a legendary cow. Get their fragments from the open worlds, then craft the one you want to play.

Characters & equipment

Your suit uses the same seven equipment slots: hat, outfit, cape, boots, companion, weapon and offhand. Armor adds stats while keeping your suit's appearance. Weapons, shields and spellbooks show in your character's hands.

All 51 characters

Collect 12 matching fragments to craft a character. Fragments belong to a specific suit, so check which ones you're saving. Higher-rarity suits hit harder, with tank, striker, caster and balanced options to choose from.

Characters and their fragments trade on the marketplace: craft them, sell spares, buy the ones you are missing.

Loot & collectibles

Siege runs can reward tower finishes, equipment and materials. Check what dropped in your inventory. Rarity and available supply determine which rewards you can get.

Wearable gear

The Forge covers seven equipment slots: hats, outfits, capes, boots, companions, weapons and offhands. Craftable gear comes in 11 finishes, using ore and Coins, and each piece adds stats. Swords, shields, spellbooks and craftable companions can also drop in Siege. Special companions such as Lil' Star appear under Companions.

Tower finishes

Open Character and equip a tower finish you own to change how your Siege towers look. Each rank above Crystal also adds 2% to their offensive stats:

Coin-buyable Terracotta → Wood → Stone → Crystal|Siege drops Obsidian → Golden → Diamond → Metal → Rainbow → Galaxy

You can buy finishes up to Crystal. Obsidian and higher come from Garden Siege drops, with each step getting rarer. Galaxy sits at the top of the finish ladder.

Equipment by slot

Take a look through each slot below. A Forge badge means you can craft that gear. A Siege drop badge means that gear family can also drop during a run. Special equipment has a rarity badge.

Guard dogs

Post a dog to defend your garden from raiders. The Garden Pup and Thornmastiff are bought with Coins; Cerberus, the three-headed mythic, is $SOLG-only. Fancier dogs catch more raiders.

Unique towers & high-rarity gear

Look for four unique towers: Flame Brazier, Rune Obelisk, Iron Cannon and Star Forge. They can appear in the Shop's finite stock and the reward wheel, so check the Shop for what's available. For equipment, Rainbow and Galaxy sit above Mythical, with Named as the final rarity.

Flame Brazier
Star Forge

Earning loot

The deepest wave you finish in Siege decides which reward rarities you can roll. The game then picks a random reward from the available stock.

  • Wave 10 - your first run reward is guaranteed. Nobody walks away empty-handed.
  • Wave 50 - wearable gear starts dropping, and you can win a Silver ticket.
  • Deeper still - rarer finishes and the chance at a Gold ticket unlock the further you go.
  • There is a friendly daily cap on tradeable items so the economy stays healthy.

Going deeper gives you a chance at rarer loot. It doesn't guarantee a particular item. A sold-out finite reward can only drop again once stock returns.

Finite supply & the player market

Web and Seeker players share the same supply of finite items and materials. Farming, crafting and trading all use that supply. They can't create an extra copy outside it.

Renewable source reservoir

Farmable sources show how much stock remains. If one reaches zero, that source pauses and the item becomes marketplace-only until its displayed refill time.

Lifetime supply

Refills never push an item beyond its lifetime cap. Once that cap is exhausted, no new copies appear; existing copies can still be traded or used.

What stays renewable

Coins and Diamonds are uncapped game currencies. Silver and Gold Siege tickets are renewable and non-finite, but soulbound. Golden Seeds have no separate cap because every Seed consumes finite inputs. $SOLG follows its token contract.

The game shows live availability and the next refill wherever a limited source is active. If no schedule is shown, no unconfirmed amount is presented as available stock.

Golden Seeds & Mastery

One random recipe, one derived Seed

Check your current Golden Seed recipe. It needs three ores, three renewable hunt trophies and three ingredients. Crafting uses all the listed materials and gives you one Seed, then rolls a new recipe. You can trade the Seed or save it for Mastery.

Six connected disciplines

Pick the parts of the game you want to focus on. Each branch has its own paths, requirements and rank thresholds. Once you learn a rank, it stays learned across sessions.

Selling requires the displayed real $SOLG holding threshold. A listing reserves the exact item or quantity until a verified wallet payment sends it to the buyer. Cancelling returns the same item or quantity to the seller.

Raid & visit

Sol Garden is social. Visit other players' gardens, climb the tier leaderboards, and tangle with your neighbours - all without anyone losing their plants.

Raiding

Sneak into a ripe garden and skim up to 40% of a plant's pending Coins - the owner always keeps the majority, and nothing is destroyed. Raids are matched within a tier or two and capped per day, so it stays cheeky, not punishing.

Guards & gifts

A fed guard dog can catch raiders, block the steal and fine them. Feeling generous? Mark a ripe plant as a gift - it becomes un-raidable, and a friend can harvest the full reward while you earn applause.

Staking

Stake $SOLG to earn $SOLG from a pre-funded 25,000,000 $SOLG reward pool paid out over 90 days, shared across all stakers (the rate is variable). Staked tokens keep working in the game too: they count toward your tier and Diamonds at a boosted multiplier, so locking never costs you game features. Claim or compound anytime.

TierLockRewardsDiamonds
FlexibleNone - unstake anytime1x1.2x
1 Month30 days2x2x
3 Months90 days4x3x

Your principal sits in program custody the team cannot touch: the staking program's on-chain bytecode is verified against its public source, and its upgrade authority is held by a multisig. Leaving a lock early costs a 10% penalty that flows back into the reward pool for everyone else.

Trade & rewards

Marketplace

Trade suits, fragments, ores, ingredients, hunt trophies, finishes, gear, unique towers and Golden Seeds for $SOLG. Siege tickets are soulbound and never enter the market. A listing locks the exact item or quantity in marketplace escrow; verified wallet-to-wallet settlement moves it to the buyer. A 10% fee goes to the treasury.

Reward wheel

Spin the wheel with $SOLG for a shot at tickets, guard dogs, unique towers - or the Jackpot, which pays out the entire prize pool. Spins fund the pool, a weekly leaderboard reward, and the protocol.

Weekly leaderboard rewards

40% of every wheel spin funds a weekly prize pool paid to the top 100 gardens by value, weighted by holding tier. Rankings are public for everyone, and payouts verify real wallet holdings so the pool reaches qualifying players.

All in-game items are granted directly to your game inventory. $SOLG purchases are wallet-to-wallet and verified on-chain.

Referrals & account control

Qualified referrals

Share the Invite link from the HUD. The first referrer is recorded once; a friend qualifies after a sustained, real Sprout-tier $SOLG hold. Milestones unlock five exclusive Mythical plants with unique Arena abilities.

Guest gardens stay under your control

You can play in your browser before connecting a wallet. When you connect, choose whether to move your guest garden. The game remembers that choice on the device. If you decline, both gardens stay as they are. If you accept, the game transfers your guest progress safely.

30-day account deletion grace

A signed deletion request waits 30 full days. Nothing is removed during that period and you can cancel. Final deletion waits until any open sale, payment or reward is resolved, preventing partial data loss; it never moves your wallet, keys, on-chain assets or staking positions.

Roadmap

Here's what's already in the game and what we're working toward next.

Available now

  • • Free to play: no wallet needed, full Sprout plot for everyone, guest gardens move into your wallet
  • • $SOLG staking with three lock tiers, up to 4x rewards and 3x Diamond boost
  • • Four open worlds with real-time combat, 51 craftable suits, mining, foraging, crafting and cooking
  • • Full art overhaul: hand-toon shading, ink outlines, 26 new monsters, character leveling to 200
  • • Live on the Solana dApp Store for Seeker
  • • Trading expansion: characters, suit fragments, ores and ingredients on the marketplace, with Rainbow and Galaxy as separate high-rarity gear drops

On the horizon

  • • Animals & ranch: raise livestock alongside your crops
  • • Soil upgrades, more realms, seasonal events and new cosmetics
  • • Steam, Epic, App Store, Play Store and Roblox editions
  • • Deeper $SOLG utility and token sinks

The roadmap is directional, not a promise of dates. $SOLG is a hold-to-play utility token, not an investment; nothing here is financial advice.
