When does Golden Invasion start?

Golden Invasion begins every day at 00:00 UTC and 12:00 UTC. Each invasion lasts one hour. These times are shared across the game, rather than starting when you log in. Use the in-game event countdown to see how long remains before the next invasion or before the current one ends.

Two Golden monsters appear in each of the four open worlds. A Golden defeated during the event returns at the next invasion. Leaving and re-entering a world does not reset your defeated Goldens. Any surviving Goldens disappear when the hour ends.

Where can you hunt them?

Look for Goldens in the worlds your character can enter: Wildwood from level 1, Sunscar Wastes from level 26, Frosthold from level 51 and Mega City from level 101. The invasion does not bypass a world's normal level requirement.

Enter a world and use the Golden Invasion display to follow the event. Hunt in a world suited to your equipment and level. Higher access requirements do not make the first world's Goldens ordinary enemies.

How are Goldens different?

Golden monsters are boss-sized versions of monsters from their world, with a visible golden coating and shine over their original colors. They have a dedicated boss-style health bar and more health than the normal world boss. Plan for a longer fight and watch their attacks.

Regular Elites are a different encounter. They have affixes such as Frenzied, Brutal, Swift, Fiery, Frozen or Venomous, with ground auras that identify those effects. A Golden's invasion schedule and guaranteed fragment reward distinguish it from those Elites.

04

Prepare before the invasion begins

Check your equipped weapon, offhand and suit before the countdown ends. Choose a world where you can already handle ordinary encounters, then allow for a much tougher fight. World access is a level gate, not a guarantee that your equipment is ready for its Goldens.

If you use food, read the meal's effect and duration before consuming it. Look at nearby enemies before engaging the Golden, and leave room to move away from attacks. Do not spend most of the event changing equipment or searching through recipes.

During the fight, use the Golden's health bar to judge your progress. If its health is dropping slowly, expect a long encounter and manage your defensive actions carefully. The event still ends on its shared schedule even if you arrived late.

  1. Check the Golden Invasion countdown and choose an unlocked world.
  2. Equip your intended combat gear and review any food you plan to use.
  3. Find the Golden and inspect the surrounding enemies before approaching.
  4. Fight with room to move, then collect the ground drops before leaving.

05

What do Golden monsters drop?

A defeated Golden grants one guaranteed stack of three matching suit fragments, with better fragment rarity odds than ordinary monsters. Goldens also award more kill XP than Elites. Matching means the three fragments in the stack belong to the same suit.

Collect the ground drops after the fight, then check your Character inventory and Suits tab for your fragment progress. Crafting a suit requires 12 fragments of that exact suit. A Golden gives three matching fragments in its reward stack, but separate kills can reward different suits. Keep track of each suit separately rather than adding every fragment into one total.

Golden Invasion and Golden Seeds are separate systems. The invasion is a timed monster event. Golden Seeds are items used for Mastery and have their own crafting and trading rules.
